3-1-11 "The Man with the Golden Gun" - sucked, probably one of the worst Bonds

2-26-11 "How to Train Your Dragon" - excellent, loved it

2-24-11 "Takers" -ok, so forgettable that I started watching it again before realizing

1-07-11 "Red Riding" trilogy - excellent, listen to the podcast

1-06-11 "Despicable Me" - excellent, love watching kid movies with my girl

1-05-11 "Monsters Inc." - excellent, love pixar, and monsters in closets

12-28-10 "The Cave" - ok, sucked in comparison with "The Descent"

12-27-10 "The Descent" - excellent, Execution DEPENDENT

12-21-10 "The Lovely Bones" -good, not very satisfying

12-19-10 "The Goods" - ok, they tried too hard

12-14-10 "Knight and Day" - good, ridiculously fun???

12-11-10 "Wrong Turn at Tahoe" - good, I like Cuba...

12-7-10 "The Expendables" - good, lots of brain-checking fun

12-5-10 "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" - ok, nice try Lazenby

12-4-10 "Charlie St. Cloud" - ok, not the greatest acting

12-3-10 "Road Warrior" - good, the best of the three
12-2-10 "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" - ok, odd though
12-1-10 "Dog Day Afternoon" - good, Pacino acting as he does
11-16-10 "A Perfect Getaway" - sucks, you can tell they changed the plot while filming
11-11-10 "Leaves of Grass" - excellent, Norton as two different characters
11-10-10 "Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball" - ok, eh....not as good as 1
11-9-10 "Mad Max" - good, boring, but good
11-9-10 "Final Destination" -good, kind of a guilty pleasure of mine...
11-5-10 "World's Greatest Dad" - good, sad, a bit contrived, not funny at all
11-4-10 "Couple's Retreat" - ok, some funny, some not so much
11-3-10 "Withnail and I" - excellent, hillarious English dialogue
10-31-10 "Robin Hood" - good, I liked the director's cut better
10-31-10 "Airport '79 Concorde" - ok, glad to be done with the series
10-27-10 "Airport '77" - ok, a little bit "shark-jumpy"
10-25-10 "Get Him to the Greek" - good, funny and just contrived enough to work
10-24-10 "You Only Live Twice" - ok, better than "Thunderball," IMHO
10-23-10 "Battle Royale" - excellent, check out the review on the blog
10-22-10 "Paranormal Activity 2" - excellent, almost as good as the first
10-22-10 "Snow Angels" - excellent, but I wanted to shoot myself at the end
10-19-10 "Prince of Persia" - ok, I could have done without a face accent, but I like Gyllenhaal
10-16-10 "Synecdoche" - um...I don't know, I want to say it sucks, but much more intelligent critics say it's a masterpiece
10-15-10 "An Education" - excellent, it's tough to be a kid...
10.14.10 "The Ruins" - good, nice low-budget horror film
10.13.10 "Peacemaker" - excellent, love me some Kidman
10.12.10 "The Score" - excellent, one of the best capers ever

10.05.10 "The Cove" -excellent, made me more angry than I've been in a while. How can you kill a dolphin?

09.11.10 "Resident Evil: Afterlife" - sucks, STOP, for love...quit making these movies
09.11.10 "Alien Resurrection" - sucks, just terrible
09.07.10 "Alien3" - sucks, I was cheering for the Aliens
09.06.10 "Resident Evil: Degeneration" - sucks, I felt like I was watching a video game
09.05.10 "Goldfinger" - good, early, ridiculous, fun, Bond
09.05.10 "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" - excellent, I wish all westerns were this good
09.04.10 "Aliens" - excellent, lots of very scary aliens and one pissed off mother
09.04.10 "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" - ok, got a little weird at the ending
09.03.10 "She's Out of My League" - good, funny, but pretty crass
09.02.10 "The Road" - ok, very, very, very sad, sometimes death is better
09.02.10 "Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party" - excellent, wish I could go to the party
09.01.10 "The Color of Freedom" - good, decent portrayal of one of history's greats
09.01.10 "Alien" - excellent, one of the true, original, scary movies
08.26.10 "The Killer Inside Me" - good, gritty as hell, but oscar-worthy performance by Affleck
08.26.10 "Whip It" - good, Paige Davis has a career going
08.25.10 "The Wire: Season 5" - excellent, almost as good as 3 and 4
08.23.10 "Crazy Heart" - good, Bridges deserved the acclaim

08.06.10 "Resident Evil" - mediocre, can't believe they relied on Jovavich to carry

08.01.10 "The Box" - sucks, didn't make any sense, terrible acting and plot
08.01.10 "Resident Evil" - ok, the sequels are going to be difficult...
07.31.10 "Brooklyn's Finest" - good, another in a long line of cop flicks
07.31.10 "Death at a Funeral" - good, a bit contrived, but funny
07.30.10 "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" - excellent, but VERY GRITTY
07.29.10 "From Russia with Love" - good, Bond really gets rolling
07.27.10 "Green Zone" - excellent, I will watch anything with Matt Damon
07.26.10 "Cars" - excellent, he kid fell asleep 15 minutes in and I kept watching
07.26.10 "Unleashed" - sucks, that's strike two Morgan Freeman and Jet Li (see "Maiden Heist" and "Forbidden Kingdom")
07.25.10 "Jaws 2" - mediocre, beating a dead horse...can't wait for 3 and 4, homework sucks
07.21.10 "Jaws" - good, a little old school, but who doesn't love shark attacks
07.18.10 "The Kingdon" - excellent, did I mention loving Foxx?
07.18.10 "Miami Vice" - good. gotta love Foxx
07.17.10 "Anatomy of a Murder" - excellent, probably Stewart's best
07.17.10 "Dr. No" - good, nothing like the newer Bonds
07.16.10 "Where the Wild Things Are" - sucked, ruined a good children's book
07.10.10 "The Crazies" - good, great little zombie flick
07.09.10 "Snatch" - excellent, fabulous ensemble cast
07.05.10 "Gentlemen Broncos" - ok, probably great if you like Jared Hess's stuff
07.04.10 "Zombieland" - excellent, the most fun I've had all weekend
07.03.10 "Toy Story 3" - excellent, almost as good as the first, brilliant
06.30.10 "K-19" - ok, Ford and Neeson's characters are a bit silly
06.15.10 "The Wire: Season 4"
- excellent, even better than the other seasons
06.13.10 "Up" - excellent
06.12.10 "From Paris With Love" - ok, fun violence throughout, though dialog was stupid
06.12.10 "The Maiden Heist" - sucks, with Freeman, Walken, and Macey, should have been MUCH better
06.10.10 "This Film is not yet Rated" - sucks, fails to make any cognizable argument against the MPAA, even though obvious arguments could be made. Basically a bunch of whiney directors and actors complaining about how nobody wants to release their "arty (read porn)" film to young kids. Just terrible. Do not watch this film.

06.08.10 "Back to the Future I, II, III" - excellent, excellent, good, a very long night...

06.01.10 "Edge of Darkness" - ok, it kind of got weird at the end

05.31.10 "Best Worst Movie"- excellent, a must see if you want to truly enjoy "Troll 2"

05.31.10 "Troll 2" - excellent, if a bad film could be a masterpiece, this would be so

05.28.10 "Orphanage" - excellent, Del Toro is a pro

05.28.10 "Daybreakers" - good, Vamps have to feed...

05.28.10 "Wolverine" - excellent, one of the few comic movies I like

05.27.10 "The Haunting of Molly Hartley" - good, matricide is always creepy

05.26.10 "Summer of Sam" - excellent, fabulous cast

05.24.10 "Funny People" -good, Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan in serious roles

05.24.10 "Leap Year" - good, predictable, but I really like Amy Adams

05.24.10 "The Invention of Lying" - ok, didn't care for the anti-religion slant

05.24.10 "Precious" - excellent, but INCREDIBLY depressing

05.06.10 "Scarface" - excellent,

05.05.10 "Killshot" - mediocre, J Gordan-Leavitt was the only reason to watch

05.03.10 "Cool Hand Luke" - excellent, Paul Newman was a master

05.01.10 "The Orphan" - excellent, very scary

04.29.10 "The Wire: Season 3" - excellent, one of the best shows on the tely

04.25.10 "Did you hear about the Morgans?" - ok, SJP is not very good, or funny, but Grant and Elliot were great

04.21.10 "Men Who Stare at Goats" -good, interesting story, and Clooney/McGreggor/Spacey/Bridges are perfect

04.17.10 "Bad Lieutenant" - ok, Nick Cage with a crippling addiction, and he's a big jerk

04.17.10 "Silence of the Lambs" - masterpiece, very fun to watch by yourself late at night

04.16.10 "District 9" - excellent, I'm glad they scrapped Halo

04.15.10 "The Misfits" - good, Gable and Monroe's last film each, slow, and Monroe was an over-actor

04.08.10 "The Wire: Second Season" - excellent, a little slower than season 1, but ends with a splash

03.28.10 "Boondock Saints 1 and 2" - ok, wanted to like them more, but the language was ridiculous

03.23.10 "Toy Story 1 & 2" with a sick child - masterpiece, right?

"Blind Side" (2009) - good, although Bullock was excellent, as pointed out by the academy

"Schultze Gets the Blues" (2003) - ok, not sure what the point was

"Quarantine" (2008) - good, low budget horror with a punch

"Nothing but the Truth" (2008) - good

"The Informant" (2009) - excellent, but it's hard to not like anything with Damon

"Primal Fear" (1996) - excellent, not for Gere but for Norton

"A Serious Man" (2009) -ok, it's Coen so be prepared

"Zombie Land" (2009) - excellent

"New in Town" (2009) - good, Connick Jr. looks like a dear friend of mine

"Cadillac Records" (2008) - good

"Public Enemies" (2009) - ok

"Julie and Julia" (2009) - excellent, although I didn't like the resolution at the end

"Drag Me to Hell" (2009) - excellent, I am a Raimi fan

"The Hurt Locker" (2008) - masterpiece, but who am I to say

"Man on Wire" (2008) - good, fascinating actually

"Beyond the Mat" (1998) - good

" Evil Dead 1, 2, and Army of Darkness" - good, Raimi's first films, good fun for sure

"The Darjeeling Limited" (2007) - good, long and slow

"Hysteria: the Def Leppard Story" (2001) - excellent, What has nine arms and sucks? I love DL.

"How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" (2008) - good

"Frozen River" (2008) - excellent

"Doubt" (2008) - good

"Milk" (2008) - masterpiece, but not for everyone
